TiLT – mwah! (let’s kiss this week goodbye, shall we?)

Well, Gala Darling is right. We need to make lists of things we are loving, things we are grateful for, and most importantly people who make life amazing. Why? Because it’s too damned easy to feel sorry for ourselves otherwise. So, here we go …

tiltFirst, MS Paint. Yes, I do have to start small. It’s been that kind of week. I made that little TiLT title deal with paint. The fuchsia brightens my day.

Doing yoga in my delicious little office space — setting up a play list and telling myself, “I will keep going till this list stops playing,” and actually doing it and feeling so good afterward.

Irene Zion’s story about spending Halloween at the hospital.

The opportunity to reevaluate my goals and priorities.

WTMD, the local station with the slogan “Radio for music people.” They play such amazing music, and the format is NPR style, so you don’t have any commercials, and none of those obnoxious station promo spots. They play a lot of amazing music I’d never heard before, and they also have a great stock of songs and artists I love but never expected to hear on the radio. Example: When was the last time you heard an Ani DiFranco song on mainstream radio? Never? That’s what I thought, too.

Media Literacy Week on Bonnie Vie, a series by JakaMerriman, who is wonderful.

The History of Birth Control as explained by Newsweek is amazing.

Running (!) is something I’ve picked up lately that I never expected to love. I do, though. There’s a great sense of work about it. While yoga strives to balance movement with meditation (you really can’t get into most of those poses without giving it some thought), running is pure action, and it’s very zen-like in that way. It’s a great release. I’m planning to start running more regularly during the weekends to take advantage of the sunshine while my week nights will be for yoga in the warm, well-lit safety of my home.

What else, what else, what else?

  1. I’m glad you liked the MLW coverage. I wanted to do more, but was afraid of writing a textbook! Maybe next year, we can have lots of bloggers write on it together.

And don’t worry about your blogblock. I always love reading whatever you write, whenever you write it. No worries, eh? <3

  2. I’m with her on that blogblock thing. You’ll make it! ;)
