Monday Night Nonfiction: Gratitude
Occasionally, remember to be grateful for those minor things that can really improve your quality of life.
- Sitting quietly next to someone you love while reading or playing seperate video games. You don’t have to be doing something together to appreciate the company.
- Blueberry muffins, fresh, from scratch.
- Tums.
- A cold glass of filtered water.
- A running partner … or two.
- A good sports bra.
- Someone with more experience than you have who can answer your questions about life, work, and money.
- Strangers with practical advice.
- Bath robes.
- A blank notebook.
And, goodnight.

Yes. Blueberry muffins…. mmmm.
I must admit to having a blank-book obsession. I always fully intend to fill them, but never do. Instead, I relish the feeling of “could be anything”-ness that comes with the pages.
